Ingeny, the home automation business of security systems and building technology integrator Interphone, has delivered a RIBA-certified, CPD training course to a team of industry professionals from alinea consulting. The session, titled Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes, took place at the independent construction cost consultancy’s offices in London and provided insight into the benefits and processes involved in customer installation.

Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes has been developed to educate design professionals about the benefits and processes involved in custom installation. In particular, the course provides an overview of the core techniques and terminology regarding customer installation; outlining the latest opportunities around integrated home technology systems; and ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge to create modern, intelligent homes.

Nick Mulholland, MEP Partner at alinea consulting LLP commented: “Ingeny was able to provide useful insight into the benefits available and processes involved with customer installation. As a business, it is essential that we maintain a detailed understanding of emerging developments within the marketplace, so the training session has proved to be highly valuable in terms of educating the team about home automation and system integration.”

Nick Moore, Design and Technology Consultant at Ingeny said: “We became a registered outreach instructor last year for the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA), so we can help professionals within the building and construction sector to better understand the ever-changing possibilities and requirements of residential home technology. It is enabling us to engage and educate architects, specifiers, interior designers, property developers and M&E consultants regarding the benefits of custom installation.”
